Biography
Dr.Xiaojuan Xu is professor from Wuhan University.
Research Interest
Our research interests are in the glycochemistry and glycobiology of polysaccharide with a focus on elucidation of its chemical structure, chain conformation and bioactivities including anti-tumor, anti-virus, anti-inflammation, and immunity and so on. The research philosophy is to use polymer chemistry and physics, biochemistry, cytobiology and molecular biology as the enabling discipline to create unique model systems for fundamental studies and practical applications in polysaccharide biochemistry, biophysics and biomedicine. The current projects include structural characterization of polysaccharides from different sources, bioactivity and mechanism of action, and development of novel polysaccharide drugs for biomedical applications.
