Perinatal Mortality Impact Factor

It describes about the death of a fetus or neonate. The rate of fetus death can be calculated by perinatal mortality rate. The foremost cause of fetus death is preterm death and infant respiratory distress or birth defects. Fetal and neonatal mortality refers to stillbirths or death within 20 weeks of gestation and death of a live born baby respectively. The impact factor of journal provides quantitative assessment tool for grading, evaluating, sorting and comparing journals of similar kind. It reflects the average number of脗聽citations脗聽to recent articles published in脗聽science and social science journals in a particular year or period, and is frequently used as a脗聽proxy脗聽for the relative importance of a journal within its field. It is first devised by脗聽Eugene Garfield, the founder of the脗聽Institute for Scientific Information.The impact factor of a journal is evaluated by dividing the number of current year citations to the source items published in that journal during the previous two years.
