Abstract

Cardiac rehabilitation programs (CRPs) are crucial for improving cardiovascular health post-event by integrating exercise, education, and psychosocial support. These programs enhance functional capacity, reduce future events, and improve quality of life. Evidence strongly supports CRPs for secondary prevention, reducing mortality and readmissions. Comparative studies suggest supervised exercise programs yield greater adherence and benefits. Psychosocial support is vital for managing anxiety and depression, enhancing patient engagement. Technology integration through telehealth and wearables is expanding accessibility and monitoring. Long-term benefits are sustained through continued healthy lifestyle adoption. CRPs are a standard of care for cardiovascular patients.
