Abstract

Post-myocardial infarction (MI) rehabilitation is a critical multidisciplinary approach enhancing functional capacity and quality of life. Key components include exercise, risk factor modification, education, and psychosocial support. Current advancements focus on personalized exercise, remote monitoring, and improving adherence. Mental health comorbidities like depression and anxiety are addressed. Exercise training, including HIIT, improves cardiorespiratory fitness. Risk factor management involves lifestyle changes and pharmacotherapy. Telehealth and multidisciplinary teams are essential for comprehensive care. Adherence remains a challenge, addressed through personalized strategies and technology. Diabetes management requires careful consideration. Personalized medicine and addressing psychosocial factors are growing areas.
