Abstract
This work synthesizes recent research on power grid stability, focusing on challenges posed by high renewable energy integration
and inverter-based resources. It explores advanced control strategies, including machine learning and deep reinforcement learn
ing, for enhanced resilience. The studies also investigate the roles of converter-interfaced distributed energy resources, Wide-Area
Measurement Systems, Flexible AC Transmission Systems, and energy storage systems in maintaining grid stability. Prevention of
cascading failures through advanced monitoring is also discussed.
