Abstract

This review highlights recent advancements in gastrointestinal (GI) tract imaging, emphasizing improved diagnostic accuracy for various GI conditions. Advanced MRI and CT protocols offer detailed visualization, while functional imaging provides insights into mucosal integrity and motility. Dual-energy CT (DECT) enhances tissue characterization, and MRE is crucial for small bowel evaluation. AI-driven analysis and radiomics are emerging tools for improved efficiency and personalized medicine. Advanced MR techniques (DWI, DCE-MRI) and low-dose CT protocols are discussed for lesion characterization and radiation reduction. EUS remains vital for staging, and hybrid PET/CT offers comprehensive assessment.
