Abstract
This compilation reviews recent advancements in industrial wastewater treatment. It covers biological methods like microbial consortia and constructed wetlands, advanced oxidation processes (AOPs), integrated systems (MBR-EC), bioaugmentation, anaerobic treatment, and adsorption techniques using materials like biochar. Specific applications include treating phenolic compounds, textile dyes, heavy metals, and persistent organic pollutants from various industrial sectors such as chemical, food processing, pharmaceutical, tannery, petrochemical, and electroplating. The research consistently demonstrates high removal efficiencies, improved
water quality, and the potential for sustainable and cost-effective wastewater management solutions.
