Abstract
This compilation of research focuses on the latest developments in medical image fusion. It covers advancements in integrating multimodal imaging data to improve diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes in radiology. Key areas include deep learning applications, real-time guidance in interventional procedures, and specific uses in neuroimaging and musculoskeletal diagnostics. Novel techniques like latent space fusion and GAN-based approaches are explored, alongside critical evaluations of fusion metrics and specific modality combinations such as DBT and mammography. The shearlet transform is highlighted for its feature preservation capabilities.
