Abstract
This research encompasses advancements in electroplating, focusing on improved coating properties such as wear resistance and
corrosion protection through novel electrolyte formulations and process optimization. It highlights sustainable and green electroplating.
approaches, including the use of biodegradable additives and energy-efficient methods. The study explores functional coatings like
nickel-based alloys and nanoparticle-reinforced composites, as well as alternative surface treatments such as plasma electrolytic oxidation. Specific applications like zinc coatings for steel corrosion protection and chromium coatings for wear resistance are detailed.
Additionally, the research investigates electrodeposition of aluminum alloys from ionic liquids and electrochemical pretreatments for
enhanced coating adhesion, aiming for superior performance and sustainability in industrial applications.
