Abstract

This research compilation explores critical advancements in petrochemical refining, focusing on enhanced efficiency, environ
mental sustainability, and operational optimization. Key areas include novel heterogeneous catalysts for improved hydrotreating
and hydrocracking, innovative separation technologies, and advanced modeling for process optimization. The studies also address
environmental mitigation strategies, the integration of AI/ML, renewable energy sources, and the refining of unconventional crude
oils. Developments in new materials for catalytic reforming and the role of digitalization via IIoT are further shaping modern refining
practices.
