Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing the energy sector by enhancing efficiency and sustainability across operations. Key
applications include predictive maintenance for infrastructure, optimization of renewable energy integration, and improved grid
management. AI algorithms forecast energy demand and supply, leading to better resource allocation and reduced waste. Smart
grids leverage AI for dynamic energy distribution, improving reliability. AI also plays a crucial role in fault detection, energy
consumption optimization in buildings, and refining processes in the oil and gas industry. Furthermore, AI enhances renewable
energy forecasting and management, optimizes energy storage systems, and improves energy efficiency in chemical processes. It is
also vital for economic dispatch and unit commitment in power systems.
