Aphasia Rehabilitation: Restoring Language Through Integrated Therapies
Abstract
This document outlines current practices and future directions in aphasia rehabilitation. It covers a range of therapeutic approaches, including technology-assisted therapy, constraint-induced language therapy, melodic intonation therapy, and group therapy. The importance of neuroplasticity, social participation, and personalized, goal-oriented treatment plans is emphasized. Communication partner training and emerging interventions like transcranial magnetic stimulation are also discussed, all aiming to improve functional communication and quality of life for individuals with aphasia.
