Abstract

This collection examines traditional Indian medicine, primarily Ayurveda and Siddha, through a modern scientific lens. Studies bridge ancient concepts like Agni and Prakriti with contemporary microbiome research and genomics. The therapeutic potential of these systems is explored for non-communicable diseases, mental health, cancer, and dermatological conditions. The need for scientific validation, standardization, and quality control of traditional formulations is emphasized. Challenges in drug discovery and integration into public health are discussed, advocating for evidence-based applications
