Abstract
The chemical supply chain is a complex network facing significant challenges in resilience and sustainability. Recent research
highlights the critical need for enhanced operations through digital transformation, including AI, IoT, and blockchain, to improve
transparency, traceability, and efficiency. Strategies such as supplier diversification, inventory buffering, and collaborative networks
are employed to mitigate risks and ensure continuity. Sustainability is a key focus, with efforts directed towards green chemistry and
circular economy models to reduce environmental impact. Effective management of hazardous materials and navigation of evolving
regulations are paramount for safe and compliant operations.
