Abstract

This collection of research explores various facets of Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS). Investigations delve into genetic factors, novel motor learning-based therapies, and the impact of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Diagnostic best practices, longitudinal outcomes, and neuroimaging findings contribute to a deeper understanding of CAS. Furthermore, the roles of parent-mediated interventions, phonological processing deficits, and comorbid conditions are examined. Collectively, these studies emphasize the importance of early diagnosis, comprehensive assessment, and evidence-based, individualized treatment approaches to improve speech and communication outcomes for children with CAS
