Abstract
Chronic inflammation is a central pathological process in numerous diseases, including cancer. This collection of research explores its diverse roles, examining immunological underpinnings, the influence of the gut microbiome, epigenetic changes, metabolic reprogramming, inflammasome activation, lifestyle factors, cellular senescence, neuroinflammation, and extracellular vesicles. The studies highlight complex molecular pathways and potential therapeutic targets, suggesting integrative strategies for improved patient outcomes.
