Abstract
Congenital heart defects (CHDs) are birth abnormalities affecting the heart and major blood vessels, necessitating early diagnosis and intervention. Management strategies encompass medical, interventional, and surgical approaches, supported by advances in genetic understanding and prenatal diagnostics. Innovations in pediatric cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology offer improved treatment options, while long-term follow-up and specialized care are critical. Nutritional and psychosocial support for affected children and their families are integral to overall well-being. Cardiac rehabilitation and emerging therapies are also key areas of focus for enhancing patient outcomes
