Abstract

Computed Tomography (CT) angiography is a vital imaging modality for evaluating vascular diseases, providing detailed visualization of arteries and veins. Advancements in CT technology have significantly improved image quality and speed, with techniques like dual-energy CT offering enhanced characterization capabilities. Specific applications include pulmonary, cerebral, aortic, peripheral, and coronary CT angiography, crucial for diagnosing conditions such as pulmonary embolism, stroke, aneurysms, and coronary artery disease. Optimizing contrast media administration, minimizing radiation dose through advanced algorithms, and the integration of artificial intelligence are key areas of focus for improving diagnostic accuracy and patient safety in CT angiography.
