Abstract
Decentralized energy systems offer a transformative approach to power generation and distribution, enhancing grid resilience
and consumer participation. The integration of distributed energy resources, microgrids, and smart technologies is reshaping power
grids, necessitating advanced control and robust cybersecurity. Blockchain technology facilitates secure peer-to-peer energy trading,
while energy storage is crucial for managing renewable intermittency. Demand-side management empowersconsumers, andevolving
regulatory frameworks are vital. Social acceptance and public engagement are key to successful deployment, paving the way for a
sustainable energy future.
