Abstract
This compilation of studies explores various biological and integrated approaches for environmental remediation. It covers microbial consortia for heavy metals, phytoremediation for PAHs, biochar for pesticides, and combined electrokinetic-phytoremediation for co-contaminated soils. Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria enhance diesel degradation, while microbial communities tackle persistent organic pollutants. Constructed wetlands treat agricultural runoff, and mycoremediation addresses recalcitrant compounds in industrial sludge. Enzymatic remediation offers an eco-friendly alternative for phenolic compounds. Bioaugmentation accelerates PCB degradation. These findings underscore the efficacy and sustainability of biological solutions for diverse contamination challenges.
