Abstract
This document explores the economic viability of energy storage systems, detailing techno-economic assessments, cost-benefit
analyses for BESS, and driversforutility-scale and distributed deployment. It emphasizes the role of market design, policy incentives,
and operational optimization in maximizing revenue and ensuring profitability. Emerging and hybrid storage technologies are also
evaluated for their economic competitiveness and cost-effectiveness in various grid applications. The integration of storage with
renewables is highlighted for its economic benefits in mitigating intermittency and enhancing grid stability
