Abstract
Exercise training is a critical therapy for heart failure (HF), improving functional capacity and quality of life. Individualized prescriptions encompassing aerobic, resistance, and flexibility exercises are recommended, supported by mechanisms like improved endothelial function and skeletal muscle metabolism. Both moderate-intensity and high-intensity interval training (HIIT) are effective and safe. Combined training modalities offer enhanced benefits. Exercise testing is vital for safe prescription, while telerehabilitation and patient-centered approaches improve access and adherence. Guidelines advocate for exercise across all HF stages, emphasizing tailored, monitored programs for optimal outcomes.
