Abstract

Foot and ankle rehabilitation research encompasses innovative technologies and refined therapeutic protocols. Studies investigate
virtual reality for ankle instability, progressive exercises for plantar fasciitis, and multidisciplinary approaches post-total ankle re
placement. Neuromuscular electrical stimulation aids Achilles tendon rupture recovery, while wearable sensors help runners modify
gait. Balance training benefits diabetic neuropathy, and shockwave therapy treats Achilles tendinopathy. Footwear choice impacts
osteoarthritis, and dry needling offers pain relief for myofascial syndromes. Home-based exercises improve outcomes for older adults
with foot pain.
