Abstract
Scientific imaging archives are critical for preserving and disseminating visual data in research. This collection explores foun
dational principles, emerging trends, and challenges in managing these archives. Key areas include automated curation using deep
learning, interoperability standards for data sharing, and long-term preservation strategies. Ethical considerations, cloud computing
integration for scalability, and semantic metadata generation are also discussed. The impact of open science principles and advance
ments in visualization techniques are highlighted. Furthermore, digital watermarking and authentication methods are presented to
ensure data integrity and provenance, underscoring the evolving landscape of scientific data management.
