Abstract
Gait analysis is undergoing significant transformation driven by wearable sensors, machine learning, and digital technologies. These advancements enable objective, accessible, and personalized assessments for diagnosing neuromusculoskeletal disorders, monitoring neurological conditions, guiding rehabilitation post-injury, and addressing age-related mobility changes. Innovations like remote monitoring and virtual reality enhance patient engagement and recovery. Digital twins offer predictive capabilities in biomechanics and personalized medicine. Research also focuses on sport-specific biomechanics and footwear influence. Ultimately, these developments aim to improve clinical decision-making, optimize rehabilitation, and enhance overall quality of life.
