Abstract
This collection of research highlights significant advancements in understanding the genetic basis of complex human diseases and traits. Studies utilize fine-mapping and Genome-Wide Association Studies to identify causal genetic variants for conditions like type 2 diabetes, coronary artery disease, schizophrenia, and autoimmune disorders. Insights extend to personalized medicine, including Polygenic Risk Scores for breast cancer and pharmacogenomics in cancer therapy, improving risk prediction and treatment efficacy. Furthermore, research delves into global genetic architectures for depression and obesity, genetic factors in human longevity, and
susceptibility to severe COVID-19, often addressing diverse populations. This work collectively informs novel therapeutic strategies and targeted health interventions.
