Abstract

This collection highlights significant advancements in genetic mutation analysis across diverse applications. It covers sophis
ticated detection technologies like Next-Generation Sequencing and CRISPR, vital for diagnosing genetic disorders, cancers, and
rare pediatric conditions. Emphasis is placed on precision oncology through somatic and germline variant analysis, alongside liquid
biopsies for non-invasive cancer monitoring. The role of pharmacogenomics in personalizing drug therapies and functional genomics
in understanding disease mechanisms is explored. Computational methods are acknowledged as crucial for data accuracy. Finally,
the ethical challenges of population-scale genetic screening, including privacy and access, are addressed, underscoring the field’s
complex yet transformative impact on healthcare.
