Abstract
Geriatric physiotherapy is vital for enhancing the quality of life in older adults by addressing age-related physical decline. It
focuses on improving mobility, reducing pain, preventing falls, and promoting functional independence through tailored exercise
programs, manual therapy, and health education. Key areas of intervention include fall prevention, chronic pain management,
post-surgical rehabilitation, neurological condition management, cardiorespiratory health, osteoarthritis treatment, and addressing
cognitive/perceptual impairments. Interventions also target sarcopenia and frailty, emphasizing resistance training and personalized
exercise plans to improve strength, balance, and endurance, ultimately enhancing resilience and reducing adverse health outcomes.
