Abstract
This document synthesizes recent research on hearing impairment, covering diagnosis, management, and future directions. It highlights the multifaceted impact of hearing loss on individuals, the critical role of early intervention, and the evolution of assistive technologies like hearing aids and cochlear implants. The text also addresses the efficacy of speech and language therapy for children, the psychosocial aspects of adult-onset hearing loss, and genetic underpinnings of deafness. Strategies for improving access to audiological care, alongside innovative approaches such as music-based interventions and artificial intelligence in audiology, are explored.
