Abstract
This research synthesizes findings on diverse industrial wastewater treatment methods. It covers bioremediation using microbial consortia and enzymes, integrated physical-chemical processes like activated sludge and advanced oxidation, and energy recovery through anaerobic digestion. Nature-based solutions such as constructed wetlands are discussed, alongside electrochemical techniques like electrocoagulation. Bioaugmentation, Fenton processes, biosorption, and membrane bioreactors are also explored for their effectiveness in removing various recalcitrant organic pollutants, heavy metals, and emerging contaminants from industrial effluents.
