Abstract
This compilation of research explores advanced wastewater treatment technologies. Studies focus on bio-augmentation for enhanced biodegradation, integrated electrocoagulation-biological systems, and synergistic effects of membrane bioreactors with advanced oxidation processes. Constructed wetlands for nutrient removal, magnetic nanoparticles for heavy metal remediation, and anaerobic digestion coupled with membrane filtration for high-strength organic wastewater are also examined. Furthermore, the use of bio-based adsorbents, photo-Fenton processes for pharmaceutical degradation, granular activated carbon with biological treatment for VOC removal, and aerobic granular sludge for simultaneous nutrient removal are presented. These diverse approaches collectively aim to improve effluent quality and promote sustainable wastewater management.
