Abstract

This compilation of research examines the pervasive influence of land use change on environmental systems. Key areas of focus include its impact on local climate and water resources in regions like the Nile Delta, soil moisture dynamics in arid zones, and socio-economic drivers in coastal areas. The studies also address land degradation, urbanization’s effects on agricultural land and food security, and the utility of remote sensing for monitoring. Findings highlight the necessity of sustainable land management, adaptive agricultural practices, integrated planning, and conservation efforts to mitigate negative consequences and ensure ecological integrity.
