Abstract
This research compiles advancements in lignocellulose degradation, covering microbial strategies, enzymatic innovations, and
fungal consortium applications. It explores pretreatment methods, metabolic engineering for enzyme production, and the specific
roles of ligninolytic enzymes and white-rot fungi. Additionally, it examines synergistic enzyme systems and computational ap
proaches for enzyme discovery. The collective goal is to enhance biofuel production and biorefining by overcoming lignocellulose
recalcitrance through more efficient biocatalysis and optimized processes.
