Abstract
This compilation of research investigates microgrids, focusing on integration of renewables, techno-economic analysis, AI-based
control, energy storage, cybersecurity, islanded operation, EV integration, rural electrification, grid resilience, and multi-carrier
energy management. It highlights challenges and solutions for renewable integration, smart grid technologies, and advanced control
strategies. The role of battery storage, cybersecurity vulnerabilities, and the benefits of V2G technology are explored. Furthermore,
the research addresses microgrids for rural access and their contribution to grid resilience. Finally, optimal energy management for
multi-carrier microgrids is examined.
