Abstract
Mind-body therapies, including meditation, yoga, and tai chi, significantly impact inflammation and disease progression by
modulating the nervous and immune systems. These practices improve quality of life, manage treatment side effects, and alleviate
chronic pain by reducing inflammation and altering pain perception. They influence cytokine profiles, reduce pro-inflammatory
markers, and offer benefits in autoimmune diseases and cancer-related fatigue. These therapies also positively affect the gut-brain
axis and interrupt the stress-inflammation cycle. Integrated into oncology, they provide a holistic approach to patient care, enhancing
well-being and potentially influencing treatment efficacy.
