Abstract

Myofascial Release Therapy (MFR) is a manual therapy technique targeting fascial restrictions to relieve pain and enhance mo
bility. It utilizes gentle, sustained pressure on fascia to promote release and improve tissue extensibility. MFR has demonstrated
efficacy in managing chronic pain conditions such as low back pain, neck pain, and fibromyalgia, by improving range of motion and
reducing muscle tension. Its benefits extend to sports rehabilitation, shoulder pain management, temporomandibular joint disorders,
and plantar fasciitis. The therapy’s mechanisms involve neurophysiological and biomechanical influences on the body. MFR is also
applied in postoperative recovery to address scar tissue and adhesions.
