Neonatal Care: Optimizing Outcomes and Well-being
Abstract
Neonatal intensive care focuses on improving outcomes through early management of morbidities such as respiratory distress syndrome, sepsis, and hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy. Key strategies include advanced monitoring, non-invasive ventilation, judicious antibiotic use, personalized nutrition, and neuroprotection. Rapid diagnostics for sepsis, innovative respiratory support, and therapeutic hypothermia for HIE are improving care. Long-term follow-up, pain management, microbiome research, and familycentered care are also critical components for optimizing infant health and development
