Abstract
Neonatal respiratory distress is a significant challenge characterized by abnormal breathing patterns and inadequate gas exchange. Causes range from transient tachypnea and meconium aspiration syndrome to pneumonia and congenital anomalies. Management typically involves respiratory support. Key interventions include surfactant therapy for RDS in preterm infants and non-invasive support like CPAP. Other conditions such as MAS, neonatal pneumonia, CDH, TTN, PPHN, and BPD require specific management, sometimes involving advanced techniques like HFOV or ECMO. Early recognition and intervention are critical for improving outcomes
