Abstract
Neonatal sepsis is a critical challenge demanding immediate attention. This compilation reviews its pathogenesis, diagnosis, and management, emphasizing early antibiotic therapy and novel biomarkers. Molecular mechanisms, immune dysregulation, and the gut microbiome are explored. Diagnostic tools and the impact of antimicrobial resistance are discussed, alongside antibiotic stewardship principles. Long-term neurodevelopmental outcomes and specific management in congenital heart disease are highlighted. Adjunctive therapies and evidence-based guidelines are also examined, with research identifying mortality risk factors.
