Abstract

This collection reviews the scientific basis for naturopathic detox principles, focusing on diet and lifestyle. It covers therapeutic fasting, specific diet modifications for weight loss and health, and herbal medicines for liver support. The role of gut microbiota, dietary bioactive compounds in toxin elimination, and nutritional strategies for heavy metal chelation are explored. It also examines dietary patterns influencing liver and kidney health, along with anti-inflammatory diets. The evidence collectively supports how nutrition and lifestyle optimize the body’s natural detoxification and overall well-being.
