Abstract
Oceanographic data archives are essential for tracking marine ecosystem changes, climate impacts, and resource management.
They store diverse data from sensors, expeditions, and models. Standardization, accessibility, and quality control are key for in
teroperability and scientific integrity. Long-term time-series data, remote sensing, and autonomous observing systems enhance our
understanding. International collaboration and citizen science foster innovation. Ethical data policies ensure responsible use. These
archives are fundamental to advancing ocean science.
