Abstract

Radiology workflow optimization is paramount for enhancing diagnostic accuracy, reducing turnaround times, and improving patient care. This involves integrating advanced imaging technologies, PACS/RIS systems, and AI for image analysis and triage. Effective communication, quality assurance, and continuous staff training are essential. While AI offers significant benefits in automation and early detection, challenges remain in validation, regulation, and integration. Structured reporting, voice recognition, and clinical decision support improve reporting efficiency and value. Patient experience is enhanced through streamlined processes and clear communication. Radiographers’ expertise and ongoing training are crucial. Teleradiology expands access to care, and interdisciplinary collaboration between radiologists and referring physicians ensures optimal patient management
