Abstract
This compilation of studies explores the interconnectedness of oral health and podiatric conditions. It details how systemic
inflammation from oral issues impacts foot circulation and nerves, contributing to pain and vascular problems. Metabolic syndrome,
nutritional status, and oral microbiome imbalances are shown to influence foot health, increasing risks of infections and complications.
The research emphasizes the need for integrated care between dental professionals and podiatrists, considering oral health as a crucial
factor in diagnosing and managing diverse foot pathologies and advocating for a holistic approach to patient well-being.
