Abstract
Paediatric laparoscopic surgery provides significant benefits, including reduced pain and faster recovery, and is increasingly used across surgical disciplines. Advanced techniques and technologies like single-port surgery, robotics, and augmented reality are enhancing precision and outcomes. Laparoscopic approaches are now standard for conditions such as appendicitis, and preferred for pyeloplasty and fundoplication, with outcomes comparable to open surgery. While challenges remain, particularly in very young infants, ongoing innovation is expanding the field.
