Pediatric Laparoscopic Surgery: Innovations and Outcomes
Abstract
Pediatric laparoscopic surgery has seen substantial progress, enabling minimally invasive treatment for diverse conditions in children. Advancements in instrumentation, imaging, and techniques have resulted in reduced pain and faster recovery. Single-port and robotic-assisted surgeries offer further benefits. Established laparoscopic procedures include appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and fundoplication for GERD. Urological and gastrointestinal surgeries also increasingly utilize these techniques. Specialized instruments and ongoing research enhance safety and efficacy, particularly in managing congenital anomalies and complex cases
