Abstract
Pharmacodynamics (PD) is essential for understanding drug actions, mechanisms, and dose-response relationships. It involves receptor pharmacology, signal transduction, and downstream effects influencing clinical outcomes. Key areas include understanding tolerance, resistance, adverse drug reactions, and drug-drug interactions. PD is critical for personalized medicine and the develop ment of effective drug combinations. Biomarkers aid in assessing drug activity and patient response. Advancements in systems pharmacology are further refining our understanding of complex drug interactions and predicting system-wide responses, ultimately accelerating drug development and improving therapeutic efficacy.
