Phonological Disorders: Diagnosis, Therapy, Literacy, Outcomes
Abstract
This body of work explores phonological disorders from multiple perspectives, including diagnosis, intervention, underlying causes, and long-term impacts. Research highlights effective therapeutic strategies such as play-based interventions and telehealth, alongside the critical role of phonological awareness and early intervention. The genetic and neurological bases of these disorders are investigated, and the experiences of parents and the assessment needs of bilingual children are addressed. Findings underscore the importance of individualized care, evidence-based practices, and ongoing support for individuals with phonological disorders
