Abstract
This review synthesizes current research on optimizing ruminant health and productivity through preventive management strategies. It highlights the economic benefits of biosecurity, vaccination, and nutritional interventions, alongside the importance of early disease detection via monitoring and diagnostics. Strategies for parasite control, disease prevention in feedlots, and behavioral monitoring are also discussed, emphasizing a move towards antimicrobial stewardship and improved environmental management for improved herd health across diverse farming systems.
