Abstract
Radiology accreditation is crucial for ensuring high-quality patient care by setting standards for equipment, personnel, and quality control, fostering continuous improvement and benchmarking performance. It adapts to technological advancements, emphasizing patient safety and diagnostic accuracy. Successful implementation requires a multidisciplinary commitment and adherence to strict protocols. While facing financial challenges, accredited facilities benefit from improved efficiency, reduced errors, and enhanced reputation. Modality-specific standards and technological integration are key. Accreditation impacts healthcare economics positively through reduced claims and better reimbursement. It remains a cornerstone of modern healthcare, driving excellence in radiology services.
