Abstract
This collection of articles examines the critical interplay between scientific research and public policy. It addresses the estab
lishment of effective policy frameworks, the impact of international collaborations on public health, and the role of evidence in
environmental policymaking. The influence of think tanks, challenges in knowledge translation, and ethical dimensions of science
policy are discussed. Furthermore, the benefits of open science, the dynamics of parliamentary science advice, and the importance
of science communication for public engagement are explored. Finally, the governance of national research and innovation systems
is analyzed, offering insights into promoting scientific advancement and addressing societal challenges.
